SUMMER 2010
WEEK 1 JUNE 1 - JUNE 7
For the first week of summer I dedicated my time in reading an incredible and sad book called Dear John written by a famous author named Nicholas Sparks. The story is about a teenager name John that lives alone with his father and he is a trouble maker. When he grows up he does not know what to do with his life so he decides to enter to military. He was sent to Germany. One summer he comes and visits his father and he meets a young woman name Savannah. They get to know each other and they fall in love. Their love is complicated because John had to go back to the military. They would send each other letters and called all the time. Every summer he would go and visit her. But 9/11 changed their lives completly. They became to grow apart. One time John recieved a letter from Savannah that broke his heart. John passes through ruf times. I recomenned the book because is amazing and it is a wonderful love story. I cried like a baby every time.
WEEK 2 JUNE 8 - 14
For my second week of summer I left to Miami. I went with my mom and my best friend Marianne. We went on June 12. The first reason we went was for a wedding. The wedding took place in Boca Raton. My mom's best friend daughter was getting married. We spent 2 days in Boca. Then we went to Miami to visit my aunt. With my aunt we did all kind of fun things. We went to the beach and boling. We also sat and watched the World Cup. GO HONDURASS!!! We woke at 7 in the morning to watch the game Honduras vrs Chile. We watch all the games. We went shopping for a long time. I love to shop. We all stayed at her house. We even saw Camila in Miami and she stayed over at my aunt's house. Here are some pictures of my trip. It was so fun!!!!! WEEK 3 JUNE 15 - 21
For the third week of summer I was still in Miami. I met with my cousin Arabella. Arabella, Marianne and me went to the movies to see the Killers. It was a great movie we laughed and admired Ashton Kutchers body. He looked so sexy. Another day Marianne, my mom, my aunt and me went to the movies but this time we saw Toy Story 3. It was great and I cried. I cried liked a baby. But the movie was awsome. My aunt took us to a resturant that is in a gas station it is called Carajo. It was a spanish restaurant with wine. It look like we were in Spain. The food was delicious. It is always a tradition to eat frozen yogurt as a desert. We all love frozen yogurt and we enjoyed our desert. We could not wait for it. He had a great time in Miami.
WEEK 4 JUNE 22-28
My fourth week of summer was fun. I had come back from Miami. I had started to read a wonderful book name The Last Song written by Nicholas Sparks. The book is about a girl named Veronica that is seventeen. She was a big trouble maker. She did not like that name so she changed it to Ronnie. She has a little brother name Johan. She lives with her brother and mother in New York. Unfortunetly for her she had to spend the summer with her father in North Carolina. She hated her father because he left them. When she got to her father she was very mean and rud to him. Her father Steve played piano since he was a boy, He tought Ronnie but she hated it. In North Carolina she met a group of teenagers. Blaze and Marcus. Blaze became her friend and Marcus was Blaze's boyfriend. She also met Will. A cute guy that played bech volleyball. Marcus was interested in Ronnie so Blaze got mad and put some CDs in Ronnie's bag. Everyone thought she has stole them. Ronnie became in love with Will. She passed most of the time with him. Will had some problems with Marcus. Marcus had burned down the town's church down. Summer was ending and Ronnie was caution that Will was going to college. Blaze suffered an injury while playing with fire. Will and Ronnie took her to the hospital. She was very thankful that she tolled the police that Ronnie was not the won who stolled the CDs. Will and Ronnie had a huge fight and he left to college. But something unecpected happen Ronnie's father had stomach cancer and had spread through his pancreas and lungs. He was very weak. Ronnie had grone a relansionchip with her father that she dicided to stay with him. Summer ended but she stayed with her father. Steve and Jonah had worked all summer in a window for the church. Steve before he got sick he was writting a song for piano but he was to weak to finish it. Ronnie finished it for him. That is way the book is called The Last Song. Well time passed and she was taking care of her father but he was to weak that less than a week he passed away. Blaze went to his funeral and unecpectically Will showed up to. But Ronnie was heading of back to New York. When she got to New York she saw Will. Will had tranfered to NYU. Ronnie had a summer full of love and sadness but the best thing that happened to her was meeting Will and passing time with her father. By the way I cried like a baby reading this book
WEEK 5 JUNE 29 - JULY 5
Week five was tough. For two weeks I had to work and go to math tutoring. I was working is a reading camp hosted by Ms. Michelle Matamoros and Ms. Dulce. I was helping them. Kids from all ages went. There was kids from 5 to 11. I was in charge of the kids who were going to third grade. I helped them to write paragraphs, read, and do reading comprehention. I fell in love woth the kids. The camp was at Ms. Michelle's house. It was from 9 to 12. At 10:30 they had a 20 min. brake. It was fun working there but at the same time it was hard. The kids did not want to pay attention or work. Know I know how teachers fell. But dispite all of that it was fun. Also in the afternoon I had to go to Math tutoring. My tutor is name Ms. Kayla. She helped mi a lot. I was advancing learning about Geometry. So every morning I would go to work from 9 - 12 and then from 3 - 5 I would go to tutoring. It was a busy week.
WEEK 6 JULY 6 - 12
Week 6 was also busy. I was still working and going to Tutoring classes but I was reading as well. I was reading another book from Nicholas Sparks A Walk To Remember. This story is about a boy name Landon Carter. He lived in North Carolina. He was a trouble maker. He lives live with her mother and father but his father leaves every month to Washington to work. He hardly sees him. This is his last year in Beaufort High and he has dated girls but never been seriously in love with anyone. Jamie Sulivan was the town's Baptist minister daughter. She was very religious and she always carried The Bible.
She loved to help people sepcially the Orphans, Landon with his friends they would always make fun of Jaime and her father. She would were the same brown sweater, plain skirts, and her hair is a bun. Landon had to choose to take some classes and he thought drama class was going to be easy. The play was about a man that lost her wife and he was looking for a magic music box for her daughter and an angle gave it to him. This play ment a lot to Jaime's dad because he wrote it and it was based on his life. Jaime lost her mother while she was giving birth to her. Well Jaime was playing The Angle and Landon the dad (the man who sees the angle). Jaime asked Landon if he would do her a favor and played the man. Jaime asked every night if he could take her home and he could not say no. He even took her to the Homecoming dance because there was no one else. Anyway Landon and Jaime were passing a lot of time together. The night they preformed the play Jaime looked beautiful, she had her hair down and wore a beautiful white slick dress, It was Christmas and Jaime asked Landon if he could go with her to the orphanage. The looked stuning. She had her hair down. Landon took her a gift he gave her a green sweater. Jaime had also a present for Landon she gave him her Bible and it belonged to her mother, That was the first time Landon realized he was in love with Jaime. They passed every day together. Jaime told Landon a bad news........ Jaime had Leukemia. He was devasted. But he helped her through it. She was getting weaker and weaker. Lando asked Jaime if she could marry him. Two years later Jaime died. Landon fell in love with the person he leat expected and Jaime changed his life for ever.
This is my favorite quote of the book. "Love is always patient and kind. It is never jealous. Love is never boastful of conceited. It is never rude or selfish. It does not take offense and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasurein other people's sins, but delights in the truth. It is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever comes" (Sparks 215).
WEEK 7 JULY 13 - 19
For week 7 I traveled to Miami!!! I came to visit my aunt, uncle, and cousins. This week was fun. I went shopping and went to the movies. I passed the weekend in Aventura because my mom had a seminar but it was really fun. The best thing is going shopping and wakeing up late everyday. We went to the movies to times. I saw Grownups that was hillarious and Knight and Day with Cameron Diaz and Tom Cruz that was amazing. Grownups is with Adam Sandler and four other guys that made a great team. In Aventura we went to the mall that is huge and has all the stores. My favorite partis going to Wallmart at 11:00 at night. I love going to eat frozen yogurt. umm its the best we all love it. This has been my busy week in Miami......... I am having so much fun that I do not want to leavee!!!

LAST WEEK OF SUMMER!!!!!
The last week of summer I went to a long trip! I went to Madrid, Cairo, Istambul and Israel. A long and fun trip. While I was on the trip I read a famous novel written by Nicholas Sparks. Its name is the Notebook. Its a beautiful romantic story. Noah a southern boy falls in love with Ally a rich girl. But Ally's parents do no like Noah. They were madly in love with each other. Her parents take her away and Noah is left alone. Noah wrote to Ally everyday for a whole year but her mother hides them. They pass 14 years apart. Ally met a soldier and they get engaged but she still loves Noah. She goes an visit him and they can't spend away from each other so Ally says no to her fiancé and stays with Noah. They ger married and have kids. The story is told by Noah when he is old. He tells the story to Ally because she has lost her memory. Every time he reads the story her memory comes back. So she tells it to her and she remembers Noah and the story ends that Ally remembers. This summer I read 4 books written by Nicholas Sparks and my favorite is The Notebook because it tells you that it does not matter what age you have everyone deserves love. This is the end of my summer.
